Privacy policy
Last updated: 13 September 2026
Turnover is built and operated by Faran Mahmood, an independent developer based in Pakistan ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app processes, why, and what control you have over it. Questions and requests go to hello@useturnover.com.
Information we process
Account and profile information, house memberships, house addresses, deposits, expenses, shared assets, disputes, settlements, condition and receipt photographs, invite records, purchase-access records, and device notification tokens. Diagnostics may include app version, device and platform information, crashes, performance and feature events. Server secrets are never placed in the mobile application.
Why we process it
To authenticate members; operate and secure the shared house record; calculate reviewable settlements and buy-ins; preserve evidence; synchronise authorised members; deliver notifications you asked for; process and restore purchases; provide editable AI drafts you request; prevent abuse; and diagnose reliability problems.
Service providers
Turnover uses Supabase for authentication, records and private file storage; RevenueCat together with Apple and Google for purchases; Firebase for analytics, crash diagnostics, remote configuration and notifications; and Google Gemini for AI assistance you request. These providers process information under their own terms and under our configured retention and regional settings.
Sharing and house-member visibility
House records are visible only to authenticated members of that house. Current members may add or change records according to role-based and row-level access rules. Historical members keep access to the shared record but cannot change it. Private evidence is never exposed through public storage URLs.
Purchases
Apple or Google processes payment information — we never see your card details. We receive purchase and entitlement events through RevenueCat. A house-plan entitlement belongs to the house it was bought in. A settlement pass is a single credit that unlocks one identified settlement; it is not a permanent export entitlement.
AI assistance
AI features run only when you ask for them. Receipt or asset images you supply, and settlement context, may be sent to the configured AI provider to produce an editable draft. AI output is always marked for review and is never automatically committed as a financial fact, a fault decision, or an agreed settlement.
Retention and account deletion
You can permanently delete your account from Settings inside the app, or by following the steps on our account deletion page. Deletion removes your authentication identity, personal profile and notification tokens.
Shared financial, settlement and condition records stay attached to the house in anonymised form, so deleting your account cannot destroy another member's records. Subscriptions managed by the App Store or Google Play must be cancelled there.
We keep information no longer than the periods below.
- Operational and diagnostic logs: up to 90 days.
- Crash and performance diagnostics: up to 90 days.
- Analytics events: up to 14 months.
- Encrypted backups: up to 30 days, after which deleted information is unrecoverable.
- Condition and receipt photographs: kept while the house record exists, and removed within 30 days of that house being deleted.
- Anonymised shared house records: kept indefinitely, because they belong to the house rather than to any one member.
When you delete your account, your authentication identity, profile and notification tokens are removed immediately and purged from backups within 30 days.
Security
Turnover uses authenticated APIs, row-level database policies, private storage, server-only provider credentials, signed purchase webhooks and scoped settlement access. No system can guarantee absolute security; please report suspected incidents to hello@useturnover.com.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, object to, or request deletion of your personal information. Contact hello@useturnover.com and we will respond. This policy is governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without removing any protection you are entitled to under the law of the country you live in.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. If Turnover is later operated by a company formed for that purpose, this policy will be updated to name it, and the commitments made here will continue to apply.
